General guidance:  Do not over exert yourself in postures or exercises especially if you have had a meal less than two hours before the class, are under stress, over tired, recovering from illness, feel unwell or are taking medication. Do not jump in postures or exercises if you have problems with your back, knees or ankle joints. Do not do head or shoulder stand if you have problems with your neck, eyes or ears. Do not stay in postures or continue with an exercise if you feel pain, become breathless, feel nauseous or have other ill effects.

It would be useful if you would answer the following:

Do you think you are fit at the moment?

When did you last take part in regular exercise?

Do you sometimes feel faint, dizzy or have blackouts?

Do you have pain or limited movement in any joint? If so, which?

Is it made worse by exercise?

Do you suffer from high blood pressure?

Do you get pains in your chest?

Do you get breathless after very little effort?

Is there any other health reason why you should be careful when exercising?

FITNESS DECLARATION:  To the best of my knowledge I know of no reason why I should not exercise or do yoga postures. I understand that I do so entirely at my own risk and waive any legal recourse for damages to myself or my property arising from participation. Whilst attending classes I will inform the tutor in writing if there are any changes to my responses above.
